Public Transportation
The state of Oregon is accessible by car, air, Greyhound bus and the Amtrak train. Once you are in Oregon, public transportation within Oregon consists of the TriMet bus and train lines, and the Yamhill County Transit Area busses. Typically, visitors utilize TriMet until they reach Yamhill Valley, then YCTA once inside the Yamhill Valley. Please visit the YCTA website for an updated list of routes, maps and times.
Car
The easiest way to get to Yamhill Valley is by car. Portland International Airport (PDX) has numerous car rental agencies and other methods of transportation nearby. A rental is a good way to get around, but be sure to ask how many miles you can drive a day without being charged extra fees. Although it is possible to limit driving once in the Yamhill Valley, most cities take around an hour to get to from Portland. Also, driving around the Yamhill Valley and seeing the beautiful back-roads is part of the experience, so take scenic drives into account.
